We are thrilled to announce that Tesco Ireland raised over €150,000 for Temple Street this Christmas. Tesco stores across the country brought a little magic to their customers in December by selling festive inspired products in aid of Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.

Tesco’s Reindeer food has become a firm favourite in households across the country in recent years. Priced at just €2, it is a magical oats can be spread on the lawn to help guide reindeers to your home on Christmas Eve, the oats were kindly donated by Whites.
Tesco’s Christmas themed floral bouquet in aid of Temple Street. The beautiful bouquet contained a combination of happy pink mini gerbera, with a mix of purple, pink and white chrysanthemums with some beautiful touches of frosted pine-cones, decorative scented cinnamon sticks and glittered foliage. A donation of €1.00 per bouquet sold was be made to the Children’s Hospital.
Tesco Ireland’s popluar limited edition Christmas Sandwiches were back on the shelves of Irish stores across the country. The Tesco Christmas Sandwich was on sale for €2.99, or €3.50 as part of a Meal Deal, with 50c per pack donated to Temple Street to help the hospital purchase life-saving medical equipment. Buildt on the success of the sandwich, Tesco also has launched a vegetarian option Christmas Sandwich containing mature Irish cheddar, rocket with plum & port chutney, so everyone can enjoy the taste of Christmas while supporting a worthy cause.
All funds raised through these Christmas initiatives will go towards purchasing 60 new beds for the hospital ensuring that the most suitable and the highest standard of beds are available for the 148,000 patients who come through the hospitals doors each year.
