Dundalk FC pledge to donate 15% of weekly wage to Temple Street

Following on from showcasing their brand new kit last month, Dundalk Football Club, along with long-term sponsor Fyffes, have announced that both players and staff will make a gift of a whole day’s wages to the Temple Street Foundation.

The Lilywhite lads will wear the new third stripes kit in tonight’s EA Sports Cup quarter-final at Oriel Park tonight against UCD, where a bucket collection will take place before, during and after the game.

Captain Brian Gartland said: “We are delighted to be part of a club which is doing such a charitable donation. We wanted to lead by example as players and we are donating a day’s wage to the charity”. Dundalk FC are calling out to their family, friends and fans to do the same to help the children in Temple Street right now.

Long-term sponsor Fyffes are the usual feature of the Dundalk FC kit, but have offered up their premium spot on the jersey to Temple Street, providing a wonderful platform to promote the incredible work that takes place every minute of every day in our very special hospital.

This incredible gesture by both Fyffes and Dundalk FC will see vital funds be put to work where they are needed most throughout Temple Street, which will help our amazing circle of care where sick children need great care right now.
