Caroline Dalton & her son Darragh present their cheque to our Craniofacial Department.

Caroline Dalton’s one year old son Darragh was the inspiration behind her involvement in the Great Irish Bake. Darragh attends Temple Street’s Craniofacial Team on a regular basis and Caroline was eager to give something back.

“I really wanted to do something to say thank you to the team and to ensure that other families going through the same situation are given the same level of care.”

Caroline, Darragh's Mum

Caroline quickly rallied the support of her work colleagues in the Bank of Ireland and they all baked up a storm to support her event. Their hard work paid off and they raised an amazing €2,500 on the day. But it didn’t stop there. Bank of Ireland then generously contributed another €1,250 to Caroline’s total from its Give Together initiative, bringing the total to €3,750.

With €4k in her sights, Caroline then set up a mycharity fundraising page to bring in the last €250 and reach her target. The money Caroline raised was jointly split between Temple Street and Operation Smile Ireland, another very worthy cause.

We can’t thank Caroline and her family and friends enough for their overwhelming support. We really appreciate every euro and it’s great to see people like Caroline going that extra mile for our little patients.
