Halfords is one of Ireland’s leading bike and motoring retail and service centres, with 24 stores across Ireland. Temple Street was absolutely delighted to have been chosen as the Charity of the Year Partner for Halford’s Irish stores for the years 2017-2019.
The programme is run through an employee nomination and voting system, and we could not be more grateful to all the staff at Halfords
Ireland who chose to support Temple Street with their efforts.
One year in to the partnership, Halfords has already achieved an incredible amount, with several public-facing fundraising campaigns in effect across their stores and employee fundraising intitiatives.
Halfords has shown the innumerable ways Temple Street can work with companies to find a partnership that works to suit your business and business goals:
• Customer donations can be added to each purchase at a Point of Sale in denominations of €1, €2 and €5.
• Customers can choose to round up their purchase to the nearest whole number, with the difference going to Temple Street
• Great Irish Bake campaign – hosted bake sales across all stores
• Trick or Treat campaign – Halfords stores sold Temple Street jellies and fundraised in their fancy dress!
• Coast-to-coast cycle: a group of Halfords employees are cycling to each Halfords store across the country to raise funds
Zendesk has supported Temple Street through its CSR programme for several years now. Through its Foundation it supports us with a generous corporate grant, twice a year. Zendesk has also been the title sponsor of one our flagship fundraising events, Techies4TempleStreet, for two years. In taking part in Techies4TempleStreet, Zendesk has also rallied its staff a
round several fundraising activities to engage everyone in their offices in their CSR programme.
Zendesk works to engage its employees through volunteering and their staff have generously offered their time to us. Zendesk employees have made lovely Valentines Day or Easter packs, with some tasty treats wrapped beautifully into individual gift packs. We then distribute these packs to our patients and their families, to bring a smile to what can otherwise be a difficult time for them. They have also offered their support in packing goody bags for Techies4TempleStreet and packing our supporter packs for our regular donors.
