Christmas Light-Up at Temple Street!

The festive season kicked off in Temple Street Children’s Hospital on Thursday, 3rd December with Santa’s arrival by sleigh and the official switch-on of the hospital’s Christmas lights.

The lights will help keep the magic alive in the hospital for children who won’t get to go home this Christmas.

Earlier in the day, Tesco Ireland unveiled a festive fairy-tale within the hospital to surprise and delight the little patients spending time in Temple Street this December.

On the eve of the big switch-on, Tesco elves were hard at work, transforming the ground floor of Temple Street into a Reindeer Food Emporium Workshop, Cupid’s Christmas Fair and a Magical Movie Theatre.

Run by Tesco colleagues, the children and their parents were today invited to taste some delicious Christmas fare, pick up a bag of magical reindeer food and watch a festive film, which created an unforgettable festive atmosphere in the hospital. “Christmas should be a magical time for everyone and we want to make sure that a generous heap of that magic is sprinkled around the wards of Temple Street this year. We really appreciate the work of our amazing doctors and nurses, who will be taking excellent care of our little patients over the festive season. We would like to thank Tesco Ireland for their wonderful Christmas activities around the hospital today, which have brought joy to many little faces in Temple Street today.”
