Governance & Transparency
Every day in Temple Street, sick children depend on our world-renowned medical teams to provide them with the highest level of medical care. And every day those medical teams depend on our wonderful supporters to provide the essential and practical supports that enable them to focus their care on the children.
Your generous donations can be seen in action across the hospital, transforming children’s lives for the better. And that’s why in Temple Street Foundation we rely on our amazing family of supporters to keep the hospital going and make change happen. It’s your loyalty that allows us to plan for the future with total confidence.
We are extremely proud of the Foundation and everything that it has achieved for the little patients in our care. We know that none of what we do would be possible without the trust and generosity of our supporters, fundraisers, volunteers and ambassadors. In 2016 alone, Temple Street Foundation received a phenomenal €8.3million in public donations. You can read more about your impact on Temple Street by reading our 2016 Annual Report here.
It is because of the trust and generosity that our supporters place in us that we go to great lengths to ensure that we are open and transparent in everything that we do. We are fully compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements and our accounts are audited and available on our website for all to see.
We are signed up to the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising which was developed by the Irish Charities Tax Reform Group (ICTR). And we are also signed up to the Governance Code - a Code of Practice for Good Governance of Community, Voluntary and Charitable Organisations in Ireland www.governancecode.ie and are 100% compliant.
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who has supported us down through the years. The hospital is what it is today because of people like you and I hope you will continue to be part of our future.
