Tesco raise €155,000 at the Great Irish Bake!

An incredible €155,000 was raised by Tesco stores across the country on Friday, 15th April in support of the Great Irish Bake. Tesco colleagues and customers baked, bought, ate and sold an abundance of tasty treats to help raise some much-needed dough for the children’s hospital.

Stores across the country took part in the national baking event, raising a total of €155,000 in just one day, which will support the purchase of vital equipment for our hospital that will help keep our little patients comfortable and pain-free.

“This year’s Great Irish Bake in Tesco stores was a massive success with an incredible €150,000 raised to benefit our little patients. We were completely blown away by the effort, enthusiasm and creativity of Tesco staff at their cake sales all over the country. The money raised will go directly where it is needed most; to buy essential medical equipment that is needed to keep our patients comfortable and pain free.  From our doctors, nurses and from our little patients and their families; we’d like to say thank you to Tesco for their on-going dedication and commitment to Temple Street. ”
