Belvedere’s long haul challenge

Over 65 students from Belevedere College take part in the annual Belevdere Block Pull.  The students walk from Dublin to Galway (almost 250 kms) pulling blocks especially constructed for the occasion.

The event has been running since 1986.  Since 2015 the funds raised have equally divided between St. Francis Hospice, Temple Street Hospital and Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.

In 2016 alone, the block pull raised an amazing €17,547 for Temple Street. The lads will take to the roads again this June to help raise vital funds for our hospital. Well done guys – don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes!
