10th Trick or Treat for Temple Street fundraising campaign sets sail
It was almost mutiny yesterday when Today FM's Ray Foley and model Sarah Kavanagh, went aboard the Jeanie Johnston in search of treasure to launch Trick or Treat for Temple Street. What treasure were they after? The prized ‘spooky spotlight' mini torch key rings which are on sale throughout October all over Ireland to raise much-needed funds for Temple Street Children's University Hospital.
This year people, young and old, can ‘Trick or Treat for Temple Street' by hosting a ‘frightfully good' fancy dress party at school, work or home and purchasing the treasured ‘spooky spotlight' key rings for just €2 from shopping centres all over Ireland.
The ‘spooky spotlights' are great fun for children to use whilst trick or treating this Halloween and Temple Street volunteers will be taking to the streets from 17th October to sell the key rings. Daily updates of where people can purchase the key rings will be available on Twitter by following #templestreettot
In its tenth year, the Trick or Treat for Temple Street fundraising campaign is raising funds for revolutionary new portable 3D Sensory Pain Distraction Systems, each costing €15,000, that help distract and calm children during medical procedures - making medical treatment less distressing for them. The systems will be on demonstration at Dundrum Shopping Centre on Friday, 28th October and Liffey Valley on 29th and 30th October.
To get your Trick or Treat party pack or find out more information, call the Temple Street Fundraising Office on 01 878 4344 or visit www.templestreet.ie
